Following the marking of World Oceans Day, Shakira has joined the campaign for a better and safer environment.
On Wednesday, the Colombian singer posted on her Instagram account, underlining the damage that waste and plastics have caused to the ocean.
According to Shakira, each year an estimated 17.6 billion pounds of plastic seep into the ocean.
